Don’t Leave Austria Without Trying These Fun Activities
● Try the Food Austria is known for having some of the most delectable desserts on earth. From Mohnnudeln and Kaiserschmarren, to Palatschinken, Apfelstrudel, and Germknodel sweet pastries are the staple of the Austrian food scene. It’s totally ok to eat these sweet treats day or night just like the natives do, so get out and eat to your heart’s content, just not on Sundays because Austria takes its rest day seriously and no restaurants will be open on this day. In addition to the vast array of desserts in Austria they also have many restaurants that serve huge plates of various combinations of meat and potatoes, a must-try for any foreigner.
●
Go Snowshoeing While skiing is the number one pastime of Austrians, they also like to take part in other winter activities like snowshoeing. For a small cost, you can rent yourself some snowshoes and take a walk in the beautiful winter wilderness. There’s also something called Golden Gate Bridge, a massive bridge among the trees on a mountain side. The bridge leads to something called the tree walk which is an incredibly scenic extension of the Gold Gate Bridge with an unbelievable view.

Skiing Obviously, of all these reasons people go to Austria, the number one reason is that it is a skier’s paradise. Even if you’re a beginner, there are instructors who will help you learn the ropes and have you shredding huge slopes in no time. As skiing is a somewhat dangerous activity however, it’s probably a good idea to score some international travel health insurance before you board your flight.
Austria isn’t the most populated country in Europe, but it has some great things to offer like some of the best ski resorts in the world, some of the cleanest drinking water in the world, great people, and stunning scenery. If you are going to visit Austria, remember to top up your
international health insurance policy just to be safe, and make sure to try the Wienerschnitzel while you’re there, you won’t regret it.
